It’s unique

The British Heart Foundation and Macmillan are offering graduates unparalleled insight into the charity sector with a programme designed to create future leaders in the sector.

Check out our video to see why the Gradunique programme is truly one-of-a-kind.

We’re seeking outstanding, talented and ambitious recent graduates to join us for this fantastic programme from two world-class charities.

You’ll be self-motivated, team-oriented, able to take initiative and hungry to learn from those around you.

What you will do

You’ll work on a variety of hands-on projects and enjoy real responsibility. Every day will include new learning experiences that will challenge and stretch you. You’ll complete two twelve-month placements: one at Macmillan Cancer Support and one at The British Heart Foundation.

You will work in a variety of teams across each organisation, including areas such as Income Generation, Campaigning and Health Care, Business Strategy and Support Services. Your work will be varied, and you will have a range of short- and long-term projects; taking ownership on some, providing vital support on others.

Throughout your time with both organisations you’ll be fully supported with a clear development programme of training and learning opportunities.

The cause

In the UK today 2.5 million people are living with cancer and 7 million people are living with cardiovascular disease. Do you want to work in organisations where what you do supports the people affected and helps drive ground breaking research? If so, apply for this ground-breaking scheme.

All the work you do will have real applications for both organisations so you can be confident that your contribution will make a significant difference.

Our teams at Macmillan and The British Heart Foundation will work closely with you across the two year programme to ensure you have a great experience, make the most of your opportunities, grow and learn. We are excited to work with enthusiastic and driven individuals and we are very proud of this award winning scheme.

We value diversity

We are dedicated to increasing diversity and actively encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants. We have a strong commitment to inclusion and provide working environments where every colleague is encouraged to bring their true self to work.
